05/24/2011

Keith Nobles

On May 24, 2011, at approximately 3:00 a.m., Deputy Jonathan Parks was on his way to the St. Francis County Detention Center, when he observed a Green Pontiac Grand-Am failing to signal on a right turn in Forrest City.  Deputy Parks initiated his emergency lights to signal the vehicle to stop. He approached the vehicle and announced himself to the driver and occupants. The Deputy observed the driver acting in a nervous manner.  He asked the drivers and occupants were there any drugs, weapons or contraband in the vehicle and the occupants stated that there were not any. Deputy Parks requested that the driver step out of the vehicle, he asked him again why he was so nervous. It was at this time that the driver stated that the passenger had a loaded gun on his person. Deputy Parks called for backup. The passenger was taken into custody without incident and transported to the St. Francis County Detention Center for booking.

Keith Nobles of 412 C Avenue, Forrest City was charged with Illegal Possession of a Fire Arm.  He was released on bond and was scheduled to appear in District Court this afternoon.
