At approximately 1 AM on 8/22/18 Deputy Justin Jones of the St Francis County Sheriff's Department initiated a traffic stop in Forrest City for a minor traffic violation. The driver of the vehicle was Matthew Horton who is currently on Parole with the Arkansas Department of Corrections and had an active Search Waiver on file.

Deputy Jones conducted a search and located an open bottle of whiskey, 10.8 grams of methamphetamine, Digital Scales, along with items used for ingesting drugs. 

Horton is in the St Francis County Jail being held on the charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance Sched I,II with intend to Deliver (Methamphetamine), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia for Manufacturing, and Possession of an Instrument of a Crime with a court date of 8/23/18.
