Officers with the St Francis County Sheriff's Department and the Arkansas State Police arrested Michael Sipes in Shell Lake this morning after receiving a tip that a stolen pickup was in the area. 

Officer located the stolen vehicle at the Shell Lake Motel and Sipes nearby. After making contact with the suspect he admitted to stealing the truck in Mississippi and leaving it at the hotel. He was arrested and a loaded 12 ga shotgun and two bags of methamphetamine were found in his possession along with meth needles.

Sipes is charges with Theft by Receiving (Automobile), Possession of a Controlled Substance (Meth), Drug Paraphernalia, and Simultaneous Possession of Drugs and Firearms. All charges are felony charges.

He is currently in the St Francis County Jail awaiting arraignment on local charges before he is extradited to Mississippi to face charges there.
