ST FRANCIS COUNTY DISTRICT COURT AMNESTY MONTH

For the Month of January, the St Francis County District Court is having warrant amnesty month. People that have a warrant for failure to pay fines or failure to appear with the City of Forrest City or St. Francis County may get a court date without getting arrested and placed in jail. People have until February 1st, 2019 to take advantage of the program.

People with a warrant for failure to pay fines can go to the police department or sheriff’s office and get a court date to appear in February. The court will not charge a warrant fee or additional fine on the warrant for people who participate. The Court will waive the warrant fees, set people up on a payment plan, and release any hold on driver’s licenses.

People who have a failure to appear warrant on outstanding charges will be given a court date to appear on those charges. The warrant fees and fines on the failure to appear warrant will be waived but the person will have a new court date on the outstanding charges.

The court date for the Amnesty Cases will be February 22, 2019 at 9 AM in St Francis County District Court.

This is a Win for both the Court and the citizens it provides a way to stay out of jail, get their driver’s license back, and get on a payment plan to pay off their fines.

People may call the District Court Clerk’s Office at 870-261-1410 to see if they need to go to the Police Department or Sheriff’s Department to get a court date.
