A Nurse Faces Felony Charge

On Wednesday, November 5, 2025, Angela Marie Douglas, 42-years-old of Wynne, Arkansas turned herself into the sheriff department where she was wanted on a charge of Abuse of an Endangered or Impaired Person, which is a Class D Felony.  Authorities opened an investigation in September after learning that Angela, who was a Registered Nurse at the time was hired as a private nurse to come into the home and provide medical services to a patient that suffers from ALS and is ventilator dependent   On that particular day in January the victim mother arrived home after work and discovered Angela was asleep in a chair and the victim ventilator alarm was going off indicating that she was in medical distress.  According to the victim's mother she requested Angela to call for an ambulance but Angela quickly left the residence without providing any medical assistance or calling for an ambulance.  Angela Douglas is scheduled to appear in court today where a bond will be set on her case.
