Colt Man Arrested in Connection with Multiple Theft Incidents

The St. Francis County Sheriff's Office has made an arrest in connection with a series of recent thefts. Austin Douglas, 30, of Colt, Arkansas, was taken into custody yesterday without incident at a residence off Highway 334 after investigators received information regarding his whereabouts.
During the course of the investigation, Douglas was identified as a suspect in multiple thefts, including:
A UFORCE side-by-side taken from a residence in Colt. A Can-Am four-wheeler and utility trailer taken from a residence on South Washington. A John Deere tractor taken from the St. Francis County Fairgrounds. Douglas has been charged with:
Three counts of Theft of Property (Class C Felonies)
One count of Theft of Property (Class B Felony)
Douglas appeared before a judge, and his bond was set at $100,000 cash. The investigation remains active, and additional charges are pending. These include: Attempted theft of another four-wheeler from a separate residence. A break-in at the St. Francis County Fairgrounds concession stand during the tractor theft incident. The St. Francis County Sheriff's Office thanks the public for its assistance. Community members who shared photos and information on social media that played a key role in identifying the suspect.
The Sheriff's Office also thanks the Forrest City Fire Department for its assistance in deploying drone technology to help locate stolen property and the search for the suspect.
