Deputy Seized Methamphetamine and Marijuana During Traffic Stop

On January 21, 2024, a St. Francis County Deputy stopped a black Nissan sedan for a headlight violation and for driving left of center on Highway70 near Widener, AR. The driver was identified as Brian Like, 45-year-old and the female passenger was identified as Casey Statler, 31-year-old both of St. Francis County AR. The driver was arrested for Driving on a Suspended License, Drive Left of Center and No Liability Insurance. The passenger also did not have a valid driver license. Since there was not a licensed driver the vehicle was towed. Upon conducting a vehicle inventory deputies seized approximately three ounces of methamphetamine and a small amount of marijuana from the vehicle. Both are charged with Possession of Controlled Substance Methamphetamine with Purpose to Deliver a Class A Felony and Possession of Controlled Substance Marijuana a Class A Misdemeanor. Both are scheduled to appear before the St. Francis County District Court Judge tomorrow to be arraigned.
