FORREST CITY, Ark. - On October 28, 2026, 40-year-old Chiquita Boyland of Forrest City was arrested without incident and charged with one count of Exploitation of a Vulnerable Person, a Class C Felony.

The investigation began on July 28, 2026, after an 86-year-old victim reported a theft to the Sheriff's Department. The victim reported that approximately $310 was missing from her purse, along with several Hydrocodone pills from a prescription bottle.

During the investigation, it was determined that an attempt had also been made to transfer $1,000 to a PayPal account using the victim's debit card. The transaction was flagged as fraudulent by the bank, preventing the transfer from being completed.

At the time of the incidents, Boyland was employed by Allcare as a caregiver and provided in-home assistance to the victim.

After noticing a pattern of missing money and medication, the victim's daughter installed a covert video recording device inside the residence. The camera was positioned in the living room area where the victim's purse and medications were commonly kept. Investigators reviewed footage that allegedly captured Boyland entering the victim's purse and removing cash.

Following the investigation, Boyland was arrested and charged with Exploitation of a Vulnerable Person. Boyland appeared before a judge today and her bond was set at $10,000 dollars.
