Man Brings Drugs into the Jail
On June 10, 2025, at approximately 1:00am a St. Francis County Deputy was on patrol when he observed an individual he recognized as Chester Williams, 48-years-old of Palestine, Arkansas riding a bicycle down N. Forrest Street in Forrest City. The deputy discovered that Williams had a outstanding warrant issued out of SFC District Court. Williams was taken into custody without incident and booked into the county jail. Once inside the jail, the jail staff discovered that Williams was concealing a plastic bag inside his mouth. The baggie was recovered which contained a crystal substance that later field tested positive for methamphetamine. Williams was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance - Methamphetamine a Class D Felony with an additional charge of Furnishing, Possessing, or Using a Prohibited Article into a jail a Class C Felony. Williams will be arraigned tomorrow in SFC District Court.
