Person Identified in Hit and Run Accident

On August 26, 2026 Timothy Bolt 63-years-old of Proctor, Arkansas was arrested at his home in Proctor by the Crittenden County Sheriff Department where he is charged with Leaving the Scene of a Accident (Property Damage) a Class A Misdemeanor and Duty to give Information or Render Aid.  August 12, 2026, a St. Francis County Deputy responded to a reported hit-and-run collision that occurred on County Road 536 involving a vehicle and a four-wheeler.  According to the investigation, a 16-year-old juvenile was operating a four-wheeler on County Road 536 when a tan or silver-colored vehicle pulled up from behind. The juvenile reportedly moved over to allow the vehicle to pass, as he should have. The driver then pulled up to the four-wheeler and began mouthing at juvenile.  The driver of the 4-wheeler pulled off and the vehicle then rammed him and took off.  The juvenile operator was not injured during the incident; however, the four-wheeler sustained approximately $1,500 in damage.  During the investigation, a witness reported observing a tan-colored 2006 Hyundai in the area and identified Timothy Bolt as the person operating the vehicle. The witness reported that she had spoken with Bolt prior to the collision.  A second witness reported hearing the collision went overt to check on everyone and he observed a small silver or tan leaving at high rate of speed.  The young man father later located the possible vehicle where he got the license plate information and photographed the vehicle damage and provided that to investigators.  The juvenile involved in the collision was shown a photograph of the suspected driver and positively identified Timothy Bolt as the individual operating the vehicle that struck the four-wheeler. Timothy Bolt was interviewed by investigators and he never admitted or denied hitting the 4-wheeler but stated they (victim) should turn it over to his insurance company  Timothy Bolt has since bonded out of jail and has a court date of October 15, 2026 in St. Francis County District Court.  The St. Francis County Sheriff Department would like to thank Crittenden County Sheriff Mike Allen for his assistance in this matter.
