On May 24, 2026, a homeowner in Widener, Arkansas, reported a residential burglary that occurred while he was away at work. During his absence, an unknown male and female unlawfully entered his residence and stole property valued in excess of $5,000.

At the time of the incident, a nearby neighbor observed suspicious activity at the residence and contacted the homeowner to ask if anyone had permission to be at the home. The homeowner confirmed that no one should have been present. He immediately returned to the residence, where he discovered that the home had been forcibly entered and multiple items were missing.

Following the discovery, the homeowner spoke with another neighbor and obtained surveillance footage from a security system that captured the burglary in progress. Although the victim did not initially recognize the suspects, investigators later interviewed the neighbor who originally alerted the homeowner. During this interview, the neighbor positively identified the female suspect as Leigh Moore, whom she knew and also identified the male individual with her.

On June 13, 2026, Leigh Moore, a 39-year-old resident of Forrest City, Arkansas, was located at her residence when deputies went to her home in an attempt to serve the outstanding warrants for Residential Burglary (Class B Felony) and Theft of Property (Class D Felony) where she was taken into custody without incident.  Arrest warrants have been issued for the male and deputies are currently looking for him.

Moore's bond was set at $50,000 and she is scheduled to appear before the judge today.
