Sheriff Department is Investigating a Shooting

St. Francis County Sheriff Deputies responded to a shooting on county road 245, in the Caldwell community around 3:00 pm yesterday.  Deputies arrived on scene and found a 17-year-old of Forrest City suffering from a single gun shot wound to the head.  At the time the victim was conscious but provided little details.  The victim was transported to Forrest City Medical Center and transferred to Regional One, in Memphis, TN.  Investigators learned that the victim had just dropped off another minor at a residence on county road 245 and as the the victim was driving away a newer model gray or silver GMC Arcadia stopped in front of the victim and shot several times into the vehicle striking the victim once.    Anyone with information is asked to contact the St. Francis County Criminal Investigation Division.
