St. Francis County Sheriff's Office Executes Search Warrant in Colt; Two Arrested

On September 10, 2026, deputies with the St. Francis County Sheriff's Office executed a search warrant at a residence on SFC 236 in Colt as part of an ongoing investigation involving reports of gunfire.

During the search, investigators recovered a Ruger .22 caliber revolver, methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia from inside the residence. A convicted felon, Eldrick Benard Wright, admitted ownership of the firearm and acknowledged having fired the weapon on the property. Wright also admitted knowledge of the methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia found inside the residence.

A second occupant, Heather Threat, admitted to investigators that she had used methamphetamine at the residence prior to the execution of the warrant.  Both Wright and Threat were arrested and transported to the St. Francis County Detention Center. 

Wright is charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance-Methamphetamine A.C.A. 5-64-419 Class D Felony, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia A.C.A. 5-64-443 Class D Felony, Simultaneous Possession Drugs and Firearms A.C.A. 5-74-106 Class Y Felony,  Possession of a Firearm by a Certain Person A.C.A. 5-73-103 Class B Felony.

Threat is charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance-Methamphetamine A.C.A. 5-64-419 Class D Felony, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia A.C.A. 5-64-443 Class D Felony, Simultaneous Possession Drugs and Firearms A.C.A. 5-74-106 Class Y Felony.  Both Wright and Threat are scheduled to appear before a judge and a bond will be set in their case.
