Third Suspect Arrested in December Burglary Case

A third suspect has been arrested in connection with a Residential Burglary that occurred in December of last year.

Jesus Lara, 35, was taken into custody after deputies received a call reporting that he was seen arriving at a residence in a vehicle on Church Street in Colt, Arkansas. Deputies responded and located Lara inside the residence, where he was arrested without incident.

Investigators said Lara was the final remaining suspect sought in the case.

Lara has been charged with accomplice to Residential Burglary, a Class C felony, Theft of Property involving Firearms, and Criminal Mischief for damage caused to the residence.

Authorities believe Lara had previously dated the victim's daughter and knew the homeowner would be out of town at the time of the burglary.

Lara is scheduled to appear before a judge today, where bond will be set in the case.
