Deputies Seize Drugs and Firearm During Traffic Stop

On Friday July 21, 2023, a St. Francis County Deputy stooped a 2011 black Ford-150 after it was determined that the registration showed the owner 42-year-old Carlos Fryer of Colt, Arkansas was wanted on an outstanding warrant issued out of Lee County, Arkansas.  Upon stopping the vehicle, the deputy positively identified the driver as Carlos Fryer who was wanted, and he was arrested without incident.  The deputy located a Bersa .380 caliber handgun that Fryer had hidden in his waistband.  A search of the vehicle revealed a partially smoked marijuana blunt located in the console and two plastic bags containing 15 dosages of Hydrocodone in each bag from under the driver seat.   Carlos Fryer was booked into the St. Francis County Detention Center and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance a Schedule II, a Class C Felony, Simultaneous Possession of Drugs and Firearm a Class Y Felony and Possession of Controlled Substance, Marijuana, a Class A Misdemeanor.  Carlos Fryer is scheduled to appear in St. Francis District Court Monday to be arraigned.
