Police arrested 19-year-old Jerome Terrill Mathews Jr. of Forrest City.  Investigators received a call reporting that Deonta Brown was at his mother's residence on Mississippi Street in Forrest City.  Police located Matthews inside the residence who was wanted for his involvement in the shooting back on July 10, 2023, and he was taken into custody without incident.  Matthews was involved in the shooting that critically injured Tracey Partain at the Alcot Apartments across from the Palestine Elementary School back on July 10, 2023.  Matthews was arraigned yesterday, and his bond was set at $50,000.  The Sheriff Department would like to thank the Forrest City Police Department for their assistance in this matter.  Deonta Brown was not located.  The Sheriff's Department is asking if anyone knows where Deonta Brown is to contact the Sheriff Department at (870) 633-2611.
