Elvonta Harden, 18-years-old of Hughes Arkansas was arrested last night by the Hughes Police Department without incident.  On Sunday afternoon the Sheriff Department responded to a shooting that occurred on Maple Street in Hughes, Arkansas.  Investigators recovered multiple shell casings found in the road and was able to identify one of the two individuals involved in the shooting and arrest warrants were issued.  The victim reported that he was outside his residence when two individuals walked by when they started cussing each other.  A short time later the same two individuals stood in the road down from the victim residence and began shooting back at the victim.  The victim residence was hit several times.  At the time there were six people at the residence and luckily no one was injured.  This shooting is believed to be connected to the shooting that occurred back in October where Derrick Powell was shot several times after an argument and fight broke out on Maple St. Harden is charged with Battery 1st Degree and Accomplice for the shooting back in October.  Harden is also charged with six-counts of Aggravated Assault and Terroristic Act for the shooting on Sunday.  Harden will be arraigned today at St. Francis County District Court where a bond will be set.  Investigators are still working to identify the second suspect in Sunday's shooting.
